BF2:Getting rid of the splash screens

To remove the many annoying intro movies on game start, do this:

• Add the argument "+restart 1" to the the command line. This may be achieved in the Desktop Battle Field 2 shortcut by right clicking on the shortcut and adding the argument to the command line in the Target box.

An inferior alternative is to delete or rename the movie files:

• Go to 'Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Movies'
• For everything except the "menu" movies, you may delete them OR rename them with a different extension OR move them to a different folder.
• Getting rid of the "menu" movies may make the menu load faster when you hit escape. It also gives you a much more aesthetically pleasing gray background. :-)

Renaming is not recommended as future patches are likely to add the movies back if you remove them and it will likely cause problems with PunkBuster on some servers.
