The ShackHorde's Space Odyssey

The Beginning Era

From the ashes of the aftermath which followed the great Zombie War the Horde headed into the unknown. The vastness of space ahead of them they journeyed thousands of light years. After wandering the cosmos for many moons the Horde came upon a grand collection of galaxies. Members of the Horde spread themselves among the many stars and planets in this array of light and dark. Soon as their civilizations grew and technology became more advanced did they find themselves in the middle of a populated galaxy cluster full of powerful groups of civilizations. The Horde had to become one again if they were to fight these new enemies and emerge as the greatest force the universe has ever seen. But as they soon found out, it would be no easy task.

Rebirth of the Horde

As more former members rejoined the ranks of the great Horde it was vital to maintain a shield of secrecy. It was no easy task. Some of the Horde grew more powerful each day and as they did others in the universe caught on and investigated. It became apparent that the Horde would have to be revealed at some point but some thought that if it happened all of them would be decimated. The secrecy continued even though small pockets of resistance put thorns in the side of the Horde. Not long was it that others in the universe found that our technology had risen to detectable limits. It was time for the Horde to come out of the shadows.

The Horde Revealed

When 26AM (After Maarten) came upon the universe, the great diplomat, NFXFSX broke the silence with a powerful message.

The Shackers of the great Shack alliance love to shack on the Shack. We our proud underlings of the Great Maarten. He gets us glorious appelflappen, grand windmills, and the ever loving chicks. The Shackers consider themselves a band of brothers. Fighting the evil forces of the PRL and protecting themselves from the terrifying Duke Nuked. When not engaged in Shacking they love to chat among themselves, dream about amazing things and praise the Great Maarten. On some of our alliance member's planets you may find great (and not so great) works of art. Grand buildings that are dubbed Phil-sized and then we have the Genjuro-sized huts, but we don't talk about those. Our technology is great but we do like to continue to operate classic pieces from past centuries, for example we have the Jedi_27 Edition Minivan. But that is just a taste of what we have done.

The Shack has been involved in various actions from creating Giant Communist Robots to sending in zombie hordes to clear out cities. Our greatness survives all that is thrown our way. From the legendary, and quite dreamy, Steve dropping our grand central knowledge base to our entire index being corrupted by the Faylor. Then we have Lord Remo who controls the citizen's minds with his always confusing name and mystifying hymns.

As we enter 26AM (After Maarten) our mission remains to provide well-being for all in our great empire and to ensure that any enemy, if any, would not pose a threat to our grand alliance. The Great Maarten, the appelflappen, the windmills, and the mystifying chicks will survive forever.

The Great Purge

It was not long until the Horde grew to the point where other pockets of civilizations (dubbed "alliances") become aggravated with the great power under friendly hands. Soon attacks against the Horde were a daily occurrence. Some of the members grew tired and left their civilizations to the enemy. More and more decided to leave. Soon the Horde's numbers fell dramatically. The other alliances proved their power. Rumors of spies kept the Horde on the edge. Information databases had to be locked down in case an enemy spy had infiltrated. Chaos had befallen the Horde. Arguments had broken out as some wanted to leave the cluster and others wanted to befriend other alliance. Talks between the Horde and the enemy led to hostile confrontations and other threatening actions. A reform was in order.
